The Federal Government has pledged to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators responsible for the recent attack on worshippers at a mosque in Malumfashi, Katsina State, which resulted in the deaths of over 50 individuals. 

In a statement issued by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government condemned the killings as a "callous and barbaric attack on harmless citizens who had gathered in peace to worship." 

Idris emphasized that security agencies are actively pursuing the assailants and will not relent until justice is served. He assured Nigerians that "no stone will be left unturned" in the quest to bring the perpetrators to justice. 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended his condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Malumfashi, and the Katsina State Government, expressing solidarity during this period of grief. 

The attack, which occurred during early morning prayers, has been widely condemned across the nation. Community leaders and civil society organizations have called for swift action to prevent future occurrences and to ensure the safety of worshippers.

 The Federal Government reiterated its commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the security of all citizens. Recent counter-terrorism efforts have led to the arrest of key terrorist leaders, signaling progress in the fight against insurgency.
