President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Nigerian teenager Nafisa Abdullah and two other young female students for their outstanding performance on the global stage after they emerged winners at the prestigious Teen Eagle Global Awards.
The three brilliant students, including Nafisa from Yobe State, dazzled judges and participants from over 60 countries with their academic excellence, confidence, and problem-solving abilities at the international competition. The event, hosted under the Teen Eagle platform, is designed to empower teenagers with leadership and intellectual skills.
In a congratulatory message released by the presidency, Tinubu described the young women as “shining lights and proud ambassadors of Nigeria,” adding that their victory exemplifies the great potential that lies in the country’s youth when properly nurtured and supported.
Nafisa Abdullah, 17, stood out as the lead champion after excelling in the English Language category, beating participants from more developed countries. Her poise and intellect have since gone viral across social media, drawing admiration from both the public and education stakeholders.
