Controversial activist and social commentator, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has once again stirred social media conversations after publicly calling out the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) over their alleged negligence and double standards in dealing with Dangote Group trucks. In a recent video, VDM expressed deep concerns about the unchecked operations of the company’s trucks across Nigeria.

VDM accused the authorities of turning a blind eye to the state of Dangote’s truck fleet, claiming that many of them operate without proper inspections, roadworthiness certification, or necessary taxes. He alleged that the company’s strong political and economic ties grant them immunity from the rules that regular citizens and businesses must follow.

According to the activist, this negligence has contributed to the rising number of accidents involving Dangote trucks, particularly in cities like Auchi, where he claimed reckless driving and lack of road demarcation have cost many innocent lives. He questioned why FRSC and VIO often chase smaller vehicles over petty issues but allow overloaded, unmaintained trucks to move freely.

 While Dangote Group has yet to respond to the allegations, road safety authorities have also remained silent on the matter. VDM, however, promised to continue shedding light on the issue and pushing for reforms through consistent public pressure and awareness.

As the debate grows louder, Nigerians are watching to see if any actions will be taken to address the growing concerns or if this will become another unresolved safety issue buried in bureaucracy and influence.

 In the video, he also announced plans to install speed breakers and initiate road demarcation efforts in accident-prone areas himself. He urged fellow citizens to join in demanding equal enforcement of traffic laws, regardless of a company’s size or influence.

VeryDarkMan’s comments sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians echoing his frustrations. Some users shared personal stories of how Dangote trucks have endangered lives or damaged properties with little to no accountability from authorities.

Critics of the FRSC and VIO also pointed to the disparity in treatment between local drivers and corporate giants, questioning whether safety or profit takes priority in the country. VDM emphasized that the silence of these agencies only reinforces a system where the rich operate above the law.

He further challenged both FRSC and VIO to release public reports of inspection records for Dangote trucks and reveal whether they undergo the same rigorous checks enforced on other companies and private vehicles. “The lives lost on these roads are not statistics; they are people,” he added.
